40 Lessons I Learned Before Turning 40

.

    1. Put Allah first. Somehow, everything else finds its place.
    2. Its ok to cry. Sometimes they are the quiet language of a heart that has carried too much for too long.
    3. You don't have to be strong all the time.
    4. Do not expect too much from people. Expectations can lead to disappointment and frustration.
    5. Build a career that supports your life, not one that consumes it.
    6. Never trade your values for a bigger paycheck or a better title. What you lose isn't worth what you gain.
    7. Never let other people's thoughts about you or your life influence how you see yourself.
    8. When someone speaks badly about you, they're showing you who they are, not who you are.
    9. Work hard for what you want, make sincere du'a, then trust Allah to choose what is best. Ask Allah to place barakah in it.
    10. In the end, people won't remember your position. They'll remember how you made them feel.
    11. Be patient with your journey. Trust your own timeline.
    12. Starting over isn't failure. Sometimes it's exactly where your story begins.
    13. Your life doesn't have to look like everyone else's to be beautiful.
    14. Protect your peace. Not every battle deserves your energy.

    17. The little family traditions you take for granted today will become the memories you treasure most.
    18. Don't let fear write your story.
    19. Give your energy to what you can control, and surrender the rest to Allah.
    20. Not everyone who enters your life is meant to stay. Some are blessings, others are lessons.
    21. Try to be a little better than you were yesterday. That's enough.
    22. "No" is a complete sentence. You don't owe everyone an explanation.
    23. Your relationship with Allah is the only investment that will never fail you.
    24. If you fall, get back up.
    25. No sincere du'a is ever wasted. Trust His timing.
    26. Forgiveness doesn't change the past, but it frees your future.
    27. Speak to yourself with the same kindness you so easily give to others.
    28. Everyone is fighting a battle you cannot see.
    29. You were lost and Allah rescued you. Over and over again.

    31. Give with a sincere heart to please Allah. Do not expect anything from people.
    32. Protect your private life. Not every blessing needs an audience.
    33. Your circle will get smaller and smaller. Treasure the people who remain through and through.
    34. Leave people feeling lighter than when they met you.
    35. Be gentle with your words. Once they're spoken, you can never take them back
    36. When emotions are high, choose silence.
    37. You can't control what happens around you, but you can choose how you respond.
    38. You make mistakes. Forgive yourself. Learn. Grow. Move forward.
    39. Peace is worth more than being right.
    40. You don't need everyone to understand your journey. It was never theirs to walk.

Alhamdulillah Ala Kulli Haal. For every blessing, every delay, every heartbreak. For this life and this journey.

Every moment carried a wisdom I could not see at the time. Every challenge, every loss, and every unexpected turn was part of Allah’s plan, shaping me into the person He was teaching me to become.

Through it all, He was gently guiding my heart back to Him, bringing me closer to His love, His mercy, and His presence.

Alhamdulillah for everything—for what I received, what I lost, and what Allah chose for m
