If you know my career journey, you might understand I've often been perceived as someone who is lucky with her career. People have often been impressed by my career journey. I've been asked how I got this job, then another, and then another. The opportunities I've received and the income I've been blessed with.
More often than not, I get the opportunities I prayed for. It's not because I'm particularly good at what I do and certainly not because I deserve everything I've received. Whatever abilities I have, whatever opportunities come my way, whatever doors open for me, all of it is by Allah's permission. He is the One who gives. He is the One who provides. He is Ar-Rahman, Ar-Rahim. I have been incredibly blessed.
Even when I lost my job, I held on to the belief that He would open another door for me. I didn't know how or when it would happen, but I fully believed that He would provide something better in His own time. And even that conviction, the ability to keep trusting Him when I couldn't see what lay ahead was itself a blessing.
Allah answered my prayers. Sometimes not immediately, but when the time was right, He opened doors I could never imagine are there. He gave more that I ask.
I don't have an extraordinary story to tell about how I built my career. All I have is a story of blessings, prayers that were answered, doors that opened, and a life that has been carried by His mercy...
Alhamdulillah
